Daniel Sully

Corner Grocery
Sully's Corner Grocery was a great success. It was performed for years. Here is an exceptionally rare advertising piece for this play. It is a "Souvenir of the Performance". There are five informational cards and eight triangular character cards.

Trade Cards

Usually the trade cards were seen with one of a number of pictures from the play on the front. The backs frequently told about the play or even gave a specific location and/or date of the productions. These two cards note the location "Wheeler's Opera House" and the date. This was most likely the Wheeler's Opera House in Toledo, Ohio.

This advertising piece has eight different trade cards attached together on the front with advertising for the Corner Grocery play at the Amesbury Opera House on the reverse. These cards were meant to be attached since the text on the back continues from one card to the next.

It appears that this a complete set of the trade cards (eight) which was produced for this play. This is an incredibly rare item

Daddy Nolan

This little 24 page pamphlet includes the lyrics of all of the songs that where part of that production.

The Millionaire
Sully produced several very popular plays in the 1880's and 1890's. This token advertises his production of "The Millionaire".
