This is a very scarce book. In 1885 the first and only edition was published by the Chicago firm of Rhodes & McClure Publishing Company.

It is 8 x 6. The book contains two sections each of which are 156 pages.

The sections are: Part I The Wedding and Part II The Twins. This book is a first person comedic look at the events that lead up to the wedding of Major Penny and his wife to be and their subsequent efforts of raising twins. The illustrations (of which there are many) were by London native Archibald Chasemore (1844-1905).
