This New York publisher only
printed one Peck book - The Adventures of One Terence McGrant. It was
published in 1871.
The Terence McGrant sketches were first published in the Ripon
Representative in 1866/1867. Peck left Ripon and went to New York with
M. M. (Brick) Pomeroy in 1869. He continued to write the McGrant comic
sketches at that time and it is those sketches that make up the
"Adventures of One Terence McGrant".
James H. Lambert was a newspaper colleague / friend of George Peck when
Peck was working in New York. Lambert published the sketches in book
form.
Lambert went on to a career in the newspaper business becoming the
managing editor of the Philadelphia Times. I can find no evidence that
Lambert published any other books.
